Yes! All our products are Gluten-Free.
What is vegan?
Vegan-friendly skincare eliminates all animal-derived ingredients. Vegan skincare comes from plants and minerals as well as safe synthetic ingredients.
What is Paraben-Free?
Parabens function as a preservative used in personal care products. They prevent the growth of bacteria, fungus and microbes.
Parabens behave like estrogen. They may increase the risk of women developing breast cancer. Men may develop a low sperm count, increased risk in male breast cancer, and testicular cancer.
Parabens have the ability to imitate the hormone ‘estrogen’ when applied to the skin. This could disrupt the function of the body’s endocrine system.
What is Phthalate-Free?
Phthalates control the thickness (consistency) and binding in fragrances, cosmetics, and toiletries.
The health scare around phthalates concerns their ability to disrupt our hormones. They are endocrine disrupting chemicals. Research has shown that mothers with high levels of phthalates in their blood are more likely to give birth to deformed children. Phthalates are also linked to cancer.
Why should I use products that are gluten-free, paraben-free, phthalate free, and vegan?
Your skin is the largest organ of your body and because it is porous it absorbs whatever you put on it. A study published in the American Journal of Public Health looked into the skin’s absorption rates of chemicals found in drinking water. It showed that the skin absorbed an average of 64% of total contaminant dosage. Other studies found the face to be several times more absorbent than broad body surfaces. Underarms and genitalia showed an absorption rate of 100%. What we apply to our skin ends up in our bodies. It is important we pay close attention to the ingredients in our skincare products. The majority of body care products contain a cocktail of carcinogenic chemicals, allergens, and irritants.
